Welcome to Camborne and Redruth Motor Club

2022 is now the 75th year that the Camborne and Redruth   Motor Club has been delivering quality motorcycle sport in Cornwall. Much has changed in the sport and the machines we ride over these years but the club with it’s hardworking Committee and band of willing helpers is today just as enthusiastic as when it started way back in September 1947.

Motorcycle Trials are high on the agenda within Camborne and Redruth MC where each year we hold eight main club trials events catering for both adults and youths riding petrol engine machines. The club also runs the famous Smokey Road Trial each October and are proud to be one of just nine clubs in the country to stage Oset Cup Trials where here in Cornwall one round of the Cornwall Oset Cup and Youth Championship is held each month and weather permitting we also hold  trials training evenings during the summer months.

A dedicated team of current trials riders, under the supervision of a Clerk of  the Course set out the eight main club trials ensuring that the sections safely cater for riders of all abilities and experience. The same applies to the monthly Oset Cup and Youth Championship series which caters for riders from 4-14 years but here all must start on an Oset or electric trials motorcycle before moving to a petrol engined machine.

Details of all Camborne and Redruth MC events may be found on this  club’s website, on the ACU website under ‘Upcoming Trials’ and on the Oset Bikes UK website. Results, reports and photographs are also published on this website and frequently published in Trials and Motocross News. Cornwall Oset Cup Trials are also published on the Oset website under Oset Cup reports. Have a look at the photos on this website and see the hundreds of action photos from our events.

Club meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at the Fox and Hounds at Scorrier at 7.30pm, anyone and everyone is welcome to come and meet club members and the Committee. Help is always welcome at all our events and many people ask how they may get involved but don’t know what may be required or don’t have a bike. Observers are the mainstay at our events, people who mark the riders’ score as they ride different sections, this can be an enjoyable day with us and full training to help with this takes just minutes. Come along and see for yourself, you will be made very welcome.

Thank you for reading this introduction to our club and this website and we look forward to seeing you at one of our events soon , please do  not hesitate to contact us if we can help further as we plan to make 2022 a memorable year for this club and all who support us.
