Welcome to Camborne and Redruth Motor Club

2024 is now the 77th year of  the Camborne and Redruth Motor Club and as we start this new year it is great to reflect on the successes of the many events this club has staged throughout the past year and the riders, club workers and people who have made all of this happen.

Of notable success is Honorary Life Member, Peter Hickman, although a famous  road racer Peter enters all major events listing Camborne and Redruth MC as his  ACU ‘club’ and this year he not only won the Isle Of Man Senior TT but did so with a staggering outright lap record of 136 mph. He also won the Macau GP in November for the 4th time.

CRMC’s younger members also did very well with 11 yr old Samuel Millmore winning the Youth C Class at the ACU South West Trials Championship, 8 yr old Kyle Bateman won the Youth D Class and Johnathan Hancock , aged 13 yrs a creditable 3rd in the closely fought Youth B Class. All of these riders started their trials riding with the club’s Cornwall Oset Cup monthly series of trials  designed to encourage and develop new riders in motorcycle sport.

A dedicated team of current trials riders, under the supervision of a Clerk of  the Course set out our eight main club trials ensuring that the sections safely cater for riders of all abilities and experience.10 such events are now planned for 2024.  The same criteria of  safety applies to the monthly Oset Cup and Youth Championship series which cater for riders from 4-14 years but here all must start on an Oset or electric trials motorcycle before moving to a petrol engined machine at these specific trials.

Details of all Camborne and Redruth MC events may be found on this website, on the ACU website under ‘Upcoming Trials’ and on the Oset Bikes UK website. Results, reports and photographs are also published here and on the club’s Facebook page. Cornwall Oset Cup Trials are also published on the Oset Bikes UK website under Oset Cup reports. Have a look at the photos here on this website and see the hundreds of action photos from our events.

Club committee meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at the Fox and Hounds at Scorrier at 7.30pm, anyone and everyone is welcome to come and meet club members and the Committee. Help is always welcome at all our events and many people ask how they may get involved but don’t know what may be required or don’t have a bike. Observers are the mainstay at our events, people who mark the riders’ score as they ride different sections, this can be an enjoyable day with us and full training to help with this takes just minutes. Come along and see for yourself, you will be made very welcome.

Thank you for reading this introduction to our club and this website and we look forward to seeing you at one of our events soon , please do  not hesitate to contact us if we can help further as we plan to make 2024 a memorable year for this club and all who support us.
